May’s Newsletter

Greetings All!

The weather in Southern Vermont can vary dramatically from year to year. This year we got some warm weather and some rain, and everything is green! The nettles and ramps are up, the birds are busy making nests, and my garden beds are full of seeds and starts. I planted peas ages ago and they’re finally up, along with brassicas and other cold hardy crops.

I’ve started on a project through Fan Club that has been rattling around in my brain all winter, and that is choosing my proposed 2026 Featured Collection and then dyeing all of those colorways in the Watercolor method typical of our Mammalogy collection! I am obsessed with this dye method as it’s much easier on my body, and I love how it looks both knit up and crocheted. We are doing 3 colorways per month. Here are the first 3 we just designed!

If you’re a fan of this method and want to try out these colors before they’re available online next year, you can sign up for Fan Club at www.roundmountainfibers.com/fan-club. Otherwise, they’ll be making their debut in the Spring or Summer of 2026.

Here are our LYS Exclusive Club colors for June! Shops will have until the end of May to place orders for these colors. You can request any of these colorways from any of our LYSs. For a list of LYSs that carry our yarn, please visit https://www.roundmountainfibers.com/local-yarn-shops.

Remember, if you’re on a budget you can purchase Mystery Bundles at 25% off at www.roundmountainfibers.com/sale. You may specify your preferred colors, dye methods, and collections and we will do our best to meet your wishes depending on our current inventory. Looking for a discount but don’t like a mystery? We also have several pre-made bundles available at 25% off on that page as well.

Thank you for supporting my work! I really appreciate each and every one of you!

Sincerely,

Monica MacNeille
