Dogbane Beetle

$34.00

Dogbane Beetles (Chrysochus auratus) are found in meadows, fields, and open areas across North America. Adult beetles are known for their brilliant metallic colors, including shades of green, blue, and gold. This iridescence is a result of the microscopic structure of their exoskeleton rather than pigments. Their bright coloration serves as a warning to predators about their toxicity.
